Free online photo booth with free download: no app, no watermark

The crisskross arena photo booth is a free online photo booth you can download from for free: take four shots or one snap in your browser, and save the strip as a full-size 1080 by 1920 image. There is no app to install, no sign-up, no paywall, and no watermark unless you leave the small crisskross mark switched on.

The catch with most free photo booth sites

Search for a free photo booth and most of what comes back is free to try, not free to keep. The usual catches:

  • a big logo stamped across the picture unless you pay;
  • a small, low-resolution download, with the full size behind a subscription;
  • an app to install before you can take anything;
  • an account and an email address, just to save one picture.

None of those apply here.

What you get, free

  • Full size. 1080 by 1920 pixels, saved as a high-quality JPEG.
  • No watermark. The crisskross mark is optional — switch it off and it is gone.
  • Four shots or one. A classic four-frame strip with a countdown before each, or a single snap.
  • Ten looks and seven filters. From coquette bows to 35mm film; see every look.
  • A caption and the date, drawn onto the strip.
  • Unlimited retakes. Nothing is saved until you choose to.

How to download your photo strip

  1. Open the photo booth and allow your camera.
  2. Press the shutter and take your shots.
  3. Pick a look, a filter and a caption. Switch the crisskross mark off if you want it clean.
  4. Press save, or share.

Saving it on each device

iPhone or iPad: Tap share, then "Save Image" in the share sheet. It lands in Photos. If share is missing, tap save and the picture downloads to Files instead; open it and save it to Photos from there.

Android: Tap save and the picture goes to your Downloads, which Google Photos and the gallery pick up. Tap share instead to send it straight to an app.

Laptop or desktop: Click save. The picture downloads as a JPEG named after the look and the date, like photobooth-film-2026-10-23.jpg.

Where your photos go

Nowhere, unless you send them. The booth draws the strip on your own phone or laptop; it is not uploaded to make it and not kept on a server afterwards.

Two exceptions, both of which you choose. In a booth for two people far apart, each phone sends its frames to the one other person in the room so both of you get the strip, and those frames are cleared on the next shutter press. And under every finished strip there is an unticked box to send it to the wall on the home page; nothing goes there unless you tick it, and every picture is checked before it appears.

Works on

Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera and a modern browser — Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox. On a laptop the built-in webcam is fine; on a phone it uses the front camera so you can see yourself.

Questions people ask

Is there a free online photo booth with a free download?

Yes. The crisskross arena photo booth is free to use and free to download from. Every strip saves as a full-size 1080 by 1920 JPEG, with no payment, no sign-up and no app.

Does the photo booth add a watermark?

Only if you want one. A small crisskross mark is switched on by default; switch it off before saving and the picture has no watermark at all.

Do I need to download an app or sign up?

No. The photo booth runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or laptop. You allow the camera and start; there is no account, including for the booth for two people far apart.

Are my photo booth pictures uploaded anywhere?

No. The strip is drawn on your own device and stays there. In a booth for two, each phone sends its own frames to the one other person in the room so both can build the strip, and they are cleared on the next shutter press. A picture only leaves that room if you tick the box to send it to the home page wall, where it is checked before it is shown.

What size is the downloaded photo strip?

1080 by 1920 pixels, the size of an Instagram story or a phone screen, saved as a high-quality JPEG.
