Freeze Frame
One frame from a film, hidden under a grid of tiles that flip away one by one. Name the film before they're all gone - the sooner you get it, the more it's worth. Ten frames a reel, in three pools: Global, Bollywood and Korean. Every week each pool gets a new reel, the same for every couple, and you get one go at it - against each other.
The film reels are still being put together - Freeze Frame opens as soon as they are in. Check back soon.
three pools
how to play
it starts in pieces
Each frame opens with a few tiles already gone, and the rest flip away one by one until the whole picture is there at six seconds. Seven seconds in all, then it is gone.
type the film
Start typing and pick the film from the list - it knows the other names films go by, so Korean films with two English titles both work.
quick is worth more
A frame is worth 100 the instant it appears, down to 10 at the buzzer. 3 wrong guesses and the frame is lost to you.
you vs your partner
You both get the same frame at the same moment, each with your own guesses. You see when your partner has named it - never what they said. Most points at the end of the reel wins, and it goes on your head-to-head record.
one go a week
Every couple gets the same reel in each pool, and plays it once - the second time round you would know the answers. Practice reels never use the week’s films.
the board
Your own score goes on the week’s leaderboard for that pool, next to everyone else’s. New reels every Monday.
