jinx!SPINSPINSPINEROAT
how a round goesYou both hunt for words in the same nine letters, the lists flip, and any word you both found is struck off — jinx!

The same nine letters for both of you and one minute to find every word hiding in them — longer words score more. Then your lists flip, and any word you both found is a JINX: it scores for nobody. The obvious ones cancel out; the match is won on the words only you thought of.

Jinx is one of 15 free games on crisskross arena, a browser site for two people who are not in the same room. It runs on any phone, tablet or laptop with nothing to download, and the room has a video and voice call built in, so you can see each other while you play.

How to play Jinx with someone far away

  1. Open crisskross arena and sign in with Google — free, one tap, and only the host needs to.
  2. Find Jinx in the list and press host. The room opens with an invite link and a 5-character code.
  3. Send the link however you already talk — text, WhatsApp, Discord. The other person opens it, picks a name and a character, and joins.
  4. The video and voice call starts inside the room. Every move syncs live on both screens.
